We are PV Live

Our team comprises of engineers with long-term experience in the PV market. Throughout their careers, they have been involved in numerous PV projects with large companies, covering all aspects of a PV project, from design of a PV plant to construction, operational support, maintenance etc.

The day-to-day requirements of their work, in particular the need to effectively monitor the operation of multiple PV plants, led them to develop the PV Live monitoring platform. The system received an award by the National Bank of Greece in the 4th innovation competition “i-bank Innovation & Technology”, in 2014.

Since 2014, PV Live grew, offering remote monitoring services to (more than 70MW of) PV projects throughout Greece. In parallel, it has been offering consulting and engineering services to PV investors.

In recent years, PV Live expanded its scope from PV to power markets, by developing EnergyLive, a web-platform devoted in European power markets data and analytics. Considering the developments in the Greek power market, this step is a natural one; the feed-in tariff compensation model for renewables generation is being gradually phased-out. Instead of getting a fixed price per MWh, PV generation is participating in the market (either directly or through aggregators) and its remuneration is dependent on the system marginal price, i.e. the price of the wholesale power market. Following up on power market prices is more relevant than
ever for PV investors.
